It's been a goal of mine since I can remember to write and publish something (a novel, preferably). So, this semester, I want to finish what I've been working on. I'm at about 25,000 words (the Ning post was inaccurate, since it says Part II begins shortly thereafter, and I recently started that), and my goal is at least 80,000. Seeing as how extremely busy I've been, I may or may not reach 80,000 this semester, but I'd at least like to strive for it.
As for what I've wanted to write.... well, I've written since I was in 7th grade. What I've always wanted to do was publish something; finish something to the point where I'm satisfied (which is the most important).
PROGRESS UPDATE: I have now reached Part II of my work, and I'm about 139 pages into it.
At this point, I've reached page 169 and am at about 38,000 words, marking the "publishing" half-point. - 11/24/09
Just hit 40,000 today. I'm at 40,148. Halfway! - 11/29/09
